This taonga is based on a Taranaki style form and depicts the chief and tribal leader Titokowaru.

The legs are shaped in the form of a Marakihau (serpent). The pattern on this taonga depicts pūngawerewere ritorito design (spider). His left hand is holding a patu (weapon). 

His status was well know throughout Taranaki battles as undefeated. This taonga is perfect for a descendent from taranaki iwi or hapu or someone who appreciates the beautiful workmanship of this piece. 

Measures 4.8cm x 16.6cm with adjustable, black waxed cord.
