Bone Carving #64 Manaia (Ranginui and Papatūānuku)
This taonga depicts Ranginui and Papatūānuku (the sky above and the earth below). The intention when making this taonga was to symbolise our role as humans who exist as spiritual beings in a physical world, and emphasises our connection to nature and creation.
This taonga has detailed and intricate pakati haehae (Niho Kuri) design on both the front and back.
It can be a great gift for someone who needs grounding, needs to realise their potential or wants to acknowledge their connection to te taiao.
It measures 10cm x 4cm, is double-sided, and comes with a brown adjustable waxed cord and can be worn multiple ways including up, down and sideways (please specify if you would specifically prefer a black cord).
