Bone Carving #62 Heru (He Poupou Tipuna)
This taonga was created based on two tupuna. Top: Tama-te-kapua who was the Kaihautu of the Te Arawa waka. Bottom: Depicts the tupuna Houmaitawhiti, who is the father of Tama-te-kapua.
It measures 21.3cm x 3.3cm, is double-sided, and is worn in the hair. It comes with a black adjustable waxed cord to be worn as a necklace also - cord is removable.
