This taonga symbolises the ocean and all marine life. You will see a distinctive fish tail design and double-sided whakarei (patterning) which represents this. 

It also speaks to the provision of the variety of kai moana found in our oceans around Aotearoa and can be a reminder that our oceans and bodies of water are sacred and to be safe in and around our waters. 

Traditionally, in te ao Maori, Tangaroa is known as the kaitiaki of the ocean. This taonga may suit someone special who loves the ocean, traditional kai moana or feels connection any particular body of water. 

It measures 9.2cm x 5.7cm, is double-sided, and comes with a black adjustable waxed cord.
