Bone Carving #57 Hei Toki (Ngā Kete o te Wānanga)

Inspired by Ngā Kete o te Wānanga. This toki represents the 3 baskets of knowledge obtained by Tane from the 12th heaven, that were brought to earth for all mankind.

The gifting of this taonga can acknowledge and celebrate someones achievements despite challenges and difficulties along the way, just as Tane had to navigate the the heavens before reaching Io-Matua-Kore and retrieving the celestrial knowledge. 

It measures 10.4cm x 3.3cm, is double-sided, and comes with a brown adjustable waxed cord to wear as a necklace.
