Bone Carving #43 Hei Tiki (Hine-ahu-one)
This beautiful bone Hei Tiki named Hine-ahu-one depicts the first woman in creation, often said to be created alongside Tiki the first man. Hine-ahu-one was created and formed by clay at Kurawaka, by Tāne (a son of Papatūānku).
It measures 10 x 5cm (at widest), is double-sided, and comes with a brown adjustable waxed cord. It can also be worn sideways if you adjust the cord and utilised holes on each side.
